Tostem Corporation (www.tostem.co.jp/corporate/english) entered the aluminum window business in 1949 - becoming the leading door and window manufacturer in Japan, with net sales over $5.3 billion. In an effort to build on that success, Tostem America, Inc. was established in 2003.

Tostem offers an assortment of universal design products that can be used safely and easily by all members of the family. All of these products face a variety of evaluations based on six criteria: safety, ease of operation, ease of movement, ease of usage, user comfort, and product uniqueness. Each of the universal design products are reviewed and evaluated in cooperation with select non-profit organizations, and from additional information and feedback gathered directly from consumers. Tostem America strives expanding its lineup of people-friendly universal design products.
