Manufacturing process for aluminum housing and building materials

1 Melting
Aluminum ingots are melted at about 1,100C (2,012F) in the melting furnace. Then, magnesium and silicon are added in the aluminum holding furnace, and finally they are processed into aluminum alloy that meets the JIS standards.
2 Casting
Aluminum alloy is injected into the mold and then quenched (cooled). Liquid substances solidify into column-shaped billets. The photo shows hooked billets that are 6m (19.7ft) long.
3 Manufacturing Dies
Dies, used for extruding metals, are manufactured through electrode fabrication and computer-programmed wire electric discharge.
4 Extrusion
Billets are cut in 50cm (19.7in) to 90cm (35.4in) long pieces and heated at about 500C (932F), and extruded into 50m (164ft) to 60m (196.9ft) long bars at about 200C (392F) to 300C (572F). The bar size is precisely adjusted with stretchers.
5 Surface Finishing
This process is controlled by computers in the control room. Materials are delivered automatically to each liquid tank for degreasing, etching, anodizing and coloring. Finally, it is baked and dried.
6 Processing and Assembly
After surface finishing, materials are cut in standard sizes, assembled in the automatic processing assembly line, where sash roller and other parts are installed into the sash, and then bound and packaged. The finished products are forwarded to the distribution centers.
